After becoming a worldwide phenomenon by topping the charts and releasing two CD's in a short period of time, it wouldn't take long before the music of Glee comes near you in concert. And it didn't. Fox just announced the tour dates for 'Glee Live! In Concert!' which will be in four major cities of America.
Beginning in Phoenix, Arizona on May 18th, the unique event conceived by show creator Ryan Murphy will feature live performances of the Glee stars Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Mark Salling (Puck), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) and Dijon Talton (Matt).
The concert will include songs like the show's theme 'Don't Stop Believin'' and other favorites 'Somebody To Love', 'Jump', 'Don't Rain On My Parade' and 'Sweet Caroline'.
Murphy commented with "The response of the fans to our little show has been so immediate and so gratifying, we wanted to get out and thank them live and in person. And what the show lends itself more to a concert than Glee? We can't wait to take this show on the road and the actors couldn't be more excited to perform live for audiences in these four cities."
"This has been such an extraordinary year for Glee and I can't think of a better way to finish up the first season than performing live on stage with the cast," Michele says. Monteith adds "This show has changed my life in so many ways. If you had told me a year ago that I'd be performing classick rock songs in concert theaters around the country, I would never have believed you. We are psyched!"
