Can't Buy Me Chemistry

Writer's can set up the best pairing since Adam and Eve but without the chemistry between actors, there's really no future for the couple. Sometimes it turns out to be a pleasant surprise no one saw coming, sometimes it leads to frustration because it results in wicked storylines the writers go through to get the couple together. Either way, chemistry is pivotal for a show and coming up are my absolute favorite chemical couples on the tube.

Tony & Tea (Skins US)
He's a punk in a re
lationship who sleeps around, she's a no-love lesbian who enjoys life. What neither of them can stand is that th
ey are inexplicable attracted to each other. When James Newman and Sofia Black D'Elia don't just have chemistry they have electricity. Watching them struggle with their feelings for each other was a treat during the show's first season. For Tony it was the first girl he couldn't have, but wanted to and for Tea he was everything that she didn't want, but wanted anyway. Their future doesn't look very good, what with this affair breaking up the group of friends and her choosing her girl crush in the finale, but one thing is for sure. These two are destined for explosion.

Chuck & Blair (Gossip Girl)
For anyone who watches the show, this pairing is inevitable. For anyone who doesn't, it probably doesn't mean anything. But Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf might just be the modern
, spoiled versions of Romeo & Juliet. Bend
ing in shark jumping story lines to keep the two apart (or together) the writers can get away with pretty much anything because Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester explode on screen. They cannot be in the same shot without you thinking their going to, uhm, make love. They are both evil, wicked and questionably mental and they both deserve each other. But there's a sense of pride, destiny and passion that makes their affair complicated. Nevertheless, Chair is the reason GG is still remotely watchable and I can't wait to see what happens when a tornado meets a volcano, because this is not a couple that can drive off into the sunset, they're more likely end in a complete massacre.

Jeff & Annie (Community)
Granted, these two don't have to be apart. There's no moral compass that keeps them from being with each ot
her and if anything, their fire has been on a down low in season 2. Yet no one can deny the way he looks at her when he doesn't see her as the winy little wise cracker or how she sees passed his charades of cool fatherly player. In the final seconds of the season one finale, Jeff had to choose between two beautiful women and he ran off to run into Annie and kiss her passionately. Since then, the kiss only was dealt with platonically and it seems like the writers keep this union as a trick for future seasons. It's not that bad, since we don't want another Ross/Rachel affair that span the entire series, but this fan cannot wait until sparks fly again between the odd, yet awesome couple.

Finn & Quinn (Glee)
During the first season this pairing was dreadf
ul to watch. His stupidity and her lies were an utter waist of screen time. But now, a year, a baby and various love affairs with others later the cheerleadingcaptain and the quarterback are giving it another go. And not in the sit-down-and-talk kind of way. She was with her boy-version and he was recovering from his first true love. Then there was a kissing booth. Blame it on Dianna Agron's smoldering looks or Cory Monteith's endless stare, but this coupling was the first, out of the show's many, pairing that felt right. They're each other's weaknesses, their only mistakes and as Quinn explained painfully honest, probably each others destinies. With Glee's rapid speed there's no way Q/F are going to last beyond prom, but for now, oh baby, they are fireworks.

Sookie & Eric (True Blood)
Sorry Damon and Elena, they were here first. Sookie, portrayed by Anna Paquin, and Eric, played by Alexander Skarsgard, have unbearable chemistry. Unbearable as in, it makes the coupling of Sookie and Bill so disgustingly boring that you might want to skip everything until the blondies get together. True, Eric might just be obsessed with Sookie because of her fairy-powers (don't ask), but what's Sookie's deal? She wants Bill, the brooding, low voiced vampire that walked in and swooned her. Yet, she finds herself attracted to the significantly taller Eric, whether she admits it or not. So far the writer's have done a pleasant job teasing the fans, because an actual pairing doesn't seem to be in the cards. We have to do with sex dreams and a unplanned kiss, but as far as I'm concerned, that's fine. We don't want to see Sookie and Eric play house and once this partnership makes it to the "real" world, there won't be anything left to want. Let the agonizing staring continue.

Top 10 Most Entertaining TV-Related Tweeters

In light of spending a year in the Twitterverse opposed to writing on this blog, I present you the top 10 tweeters who made the year enjoyable and at some times, extremely funny. If you love TV as much as I do, you'll appreciate the combination of TV news mixed with personal situations. Here are the most entertaining TV tweeters out there...
10. Neptune Rising
If you're a Veronica Mars fan, you have got to follow @NeptuneRising. Dedicated to getting the Veronica Mars movie made, this guy does not stop believing. Encouraging tweetathons and what not, you can't do very much else but join him in his positivity and optimistic views. By the end of the day you'll find yourself at a virtual picket line screaming for a movie.
9. Josh Schwartz
I started following him because he created The O.C. and changed my life, but it's way better to follow him for all the Chuck love he's giving out. Supporting every petition and poll to save or promote his show, @JoshSchwartz76 is as awesome as showrunners come. Plus the occasional shout out to Gossip Girl fans is well worth the patience.

8. Mindy Kaling
Granted, you have to like her humor, but the rare similarities between @mindykaling and her character Kelly Kapoor are uncanny. Also, she delivers hilarious insights on everything from books and clothes to food and her cast members
7. The Do-Gooders
I can't really choose between @iansomerhalder, @oliviawilde or @SophiaBush. One promotes his foundation and recently shocks you with pictures of dead baby seals, the other one travels to Haiti in between shooting blockbuster movies and the third, currently on a road trip, uses her elegance and grace to support the people in the Gulf. If you're up for changing the world into a better place, you must follow these three. Their contagious pure hearts will have you clear your bank account for good will and volunteer to your local dog shelter.
6. Shonda Rhimes
If you want to know how you juggle four shows (and counting) you have to follow @shondarhimes. The creator of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice answers fan questions on a regular basis and usually with more grace and insight than most of her colleagues. She also teases what's going on backstage and how story lines are developed. It's not so much her integration with the fans of the show that makes her so likeable, it's also that she takes her characters and stories as serious as her fans do which gives you the idea that you're not a complete loon for being a mess every Thursday night.
5. Kristen Bell
I'm not going to explain this one. Love her on @IMKristenBell or reside into a dark, lonely abyss. Those are your two life choices.
4. Charlie Sheen
Not one of my personal favorites (which is why it's on number four) and especially after his show got booed away an example of not winning, Charlie Sheen is a twitterforce to reckon with. Not only the record setting user for gaining 1 million followers the fastest, but also trending topic maker for a couple of weeks, @charliesheen is followed by pretty much everyone who matters in the bizz. Except maybe Chuck Lorre.
3. Stewie Griffin
If you're a Family Guy fan I probably don't have to refer you to @Stewie_Griffinn. Unlike his relatives on Twitter, Stewie actually stays on top of things. Making fun of the latest internet hype or simply asking for world dominance, he's much more of a pop culture critique than his on screen self. Unverified by Seth McFarlane & co, but still entertaining and a tweet chart topper. A simple must if you like to make fun of everything in the world.
Matt Donovan
What's one of the few normal human beings in Mystic Falls to do but tweet? Matt spends his days picking up shifts at the grill or pondering whether he should talk to Caroline. It's not so much the idea that this account teases stuff that happens off-screen or the possibility that this account is completely unrelated to the show, but @Matt_Donovan1 is one of the few fictional accounts that actually gives you insight on what a character is going through. Some interest in The Vampire Diaries is requested to like this account.
1. Carina MacKenzie ft. Tierney Bricker
The thing about @cadlymack and @tbrick2 is that you cannot explain how entertaining these two roommates and writers for Zap2It are. Whether it's dramatic confessions about Pacey or hilarious banter between the two, it's always mixed with many puns and references to your favorite CW shows. If you like any teen show on air between 2000 and now and want to stay updated on the latest news and articles, these two will make your timeline a priority again.
