Last year, fans of Gossip Girl were treated on a finale that included the long (really long) awaited pairing of Chuck and Blair, Serena going off to find her dad, Georgina going off to college and Lily and Rufus' lovechild coming to find his parents. This year, executive producer Stephanie Savage promises "two OMG moments"...
No major spoilers are to be found here, since Savage wasn't going to give GG's scoop before the airing of the finale, but did hinted at the set-up of the third season finale, which is currently being shot.
"It's one of those episodes that just really moves," Savage told Michael Ausiello today, "every scene leads to the next scene in a very sort of tight and exciting way. I'm hopeful it'll feel like a satisfying conclusion to all the stories we've been telling this year and also give you a sense of what season 4 will hold."
For the season finale, Michelle Trachtenberg will return (once again) as Georgina Sparks. "She'll have a different persona", Savage reveals, "we'll find out where she's been the past couple of months." Is it another religious camp? How many persona can Georgina have?
The show, which returns next Monday, March 8, has been gone since December 7th where Chuck finds a mysterious lady at the grave of his father, Jenny gets involved with a drug-dealer and Rufus, Nate and Serena are hinted as a couple, Dan realizes his feelings for Vanessa and Lily hit a rough patch concerning Lily's infamous ex, William van der Woodsen, who will soon make his entrance in the form of William Baldwin. Gossip Girl will air with 10 episodes in a row until the season finale which is expected on May 10th.

"I'm excited that we're running 10 in a row without any interruptions," Savage concludes, "last season, we had a very erratic schedule during the second half of the season, and I think it was hard for viewers. We're excited to come back and have 10 in a row...If we were a cable show it's practically an entire season."
