Revenge S01E03 - Betrayal

In its third week the show has found its weekly formula to work from but it's not the lasting kind.
Much of the suspense Revenge has to offer comes from the series opening scene which takes place in the future. The idea that we've seen much of what's to come making the unraveling story lines a lot less intriguing. Like you're watching a painter work even though you've seen the final result.

Morning Madness (10/6)

It's a sad day for Hollywood and technology in general but largely thanks to Steve Jobs' heritage the presses won't stop rolling. Perhaps best to take your mind of things with a whole lot of TV stories you may have missed, all in one place with another installment of AngrodTV's "Morning Madness".

How I Met Your Mother S06E04 - The Barney Stinson Missile Crisis

It looks like How I Met Your Mother has found its footing this season and for the most part it's all good. 
Once again the show proves it's staying power is in the story telling. 'The Barney Stinson Missile Crisis' takes us on a memory trip of Robin who assaulted a girl. The story works in the sense that you continue to guess who she attacked and how it all went down but it fails in the sense that you really don't care how the stories tie in. The stories already work, so why do the writers bother themselves by promising it will all make sense when in fact, it doesn't really matter if they don't.

The TV world didn't sit still yesterday and I doubt it will today so no bones or cookies for them. Desperate Housewives S08E02 - Making The Connection

In the season's second installment the mystery slowly starts to unfold. As a marvelous homage to the show itself, we're reminded why this concept works so well.
Many years ago this show started with one of the better mysteries on television. The idea of housewives bearing secrets was incredibly refreshing and deceptive. For all we knew, our own mothers had letters in the mail. For its final season it was a great move to revisit that very same mystery and try to spin it in a new way. That very twist ensured my return to the show and I'm not disappointed.

Pan Am S01E02 - We'll Always Have Paris

Pan Am scores on the drama factor but leaves me infinitely confused as to why there's even a spy subplot.
Because the show doesn't need it. Between the pilot with a broken heart, the competing sisters and the stewardess dealing with a touchy-feely passenger, I'm all hooked. I can see the value in one of the sisters yearning for more but I have no idea what's happening with the spy subplot...and not in the cool 'Inception' kind of way.

The Cleveland Show Family Guy American Dad Hurricane Episodes

Seth McFarlane's trilogy about a hurricane doesn't quite manage to be special but has some interesting points.
The creator of the better part of animation domination certainly knows how to make special episodes. He either keeps a death count leading up to hundred or locks two characters up in a safe. But for the much talked about hurricane cross-over, McFarlane doesn't have a whole lot up his sleeve.

How To Make It In America S02E01 - I'm Good

After being gone for a year and a half How To Make It In America is back with just as fresh of a vibe as it left with. 
Ben and Cam are back from Tokyo or whatever the hell they went to last year and are ready to expand their brand in New York. The story of the show is all about these guys doing their best to make it in a very competitive business and it still stands.

It's Monday again. We all have to face the fact the weekend is over and work is waiting for us. But not to fast. Chuck and Grimm to debut on October 28th 
NBC builds two nights of Halloween-themed programming as the final season debut of Chuck and the series premiere of new drama Grimm will begin on Friday, October 28. Likewise, Halloween-themed episodes of NBC's Thursday-night comesides will be telecast October 27 in recognition of the holiday.
