A great week for Castle fans. After the female lead survived a huge explosion, Monday's episode was the highest rated episode of the series. Reason for ABC to renew the show with a lot of die-hard fans for a third season.
The mystery-comedy, starring Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, ended the short guest stint of Desperate Housewive Dana Delany with 14.5 million (!) viewers two days ago, bumping the ratings to new heights. The show, which gets it's charm partly due to the chemistry between the two leads, has gained a large following who spend the past few months advocating for a third season.
And they got it. ABC announced that Castle has been picked up for a full 22-episode third season.
