Glee: coming to a stage near you

What to do with a hit TV show? Turn it into a movie? No, that's after cancellation. Publish it in novel form? That stuff only works the other way around. No, Glee already had the standard success of two albums, expanded it to a concert tour across the nation and now, the show is ready to take stage for a true musical adaption...

Tuner licensing company Music Theater Intl. is in talks with the creators and producers of Glee for a stage adaption of the FOX hit musical.
There's nothing final yet as the project is still very much in the initial stage of development. It's not yet sure if the musical is for amateur or professional troupes, or perhaps the education market to which MTI often licenses the musicals in its roster.

MTI also did the licensing for musicals such as 'Hairspray', 'High School Musical' and 'Rent'. But with the singing teens, the slushy attacks and Sue Sylvester, it feels like a Glee musical is nothing short of a master hit waiting to happen.

The cast of Glee will be touring the country during the final half of the first season. In other Glee news; the cast will be guest to no other than Oprah Winfrey on April 7.
