'Perfect Little Accident' sees famous doctor Harper Avery in need of surgery. The man who had an award named after him certainly doesn't let anybody operate on him and proves quit a strain on all the surgeons, including his grandson, Jackson. Mark treats a woman who can't hear very well, but isn't going to use a hearing-aid, while Cristina pushes for an unheard-of long transplantation. On the romantic field, Lexie tries to prove she doesn't have feelings for Alex while both Mark and Teddy have trouble moving on.
Like I said, there's nothing new under the sun in this episode. Some of the scenes are played out and hardly shock anymore. The story of a famous doctor putting pressure on one of the attendings because they're family has already been told before and no matter how you put it, it's not interesting seeing that as the background of one of the new, promising characters from Mercy West. Also, the romantic side of the episode doesn't see progression. Mark might make a final decision between being the definition of a man-whore and settling down, but a basketball-shot already indicates that this episode won't matter in the long haul. The only admirable improvement is Richard, who faces his first big surgery since his melt-down.
Some episodes are just for fun, to take the pressure off. 'Perfect Little Accident' seemingly does that too, only the end product isn't as light hearted, or as fun.
