The first new fall show I really like, 2 Broke Girls hits all the right notes.
The real credit actually goes to Kat Dennings, who not only gives Max the dynamic she needs but adds the sass, wit and lightness that keep the numerous puns and references enjoyable.
Because the crew knows their strengths too. So within the first few minutes we're introduced to everthing Dennings has to offer. With that much talking and so many quotes it's easy to oversell and drown the comedy. But somehow it works and so the show wins your heart.
The addition of Caroline is also a very easy breaking point. At first she's your typical gossip girl, but her interaction with Max is fun and odd. Today we need bickering more than we need agreement in TV duo's and 2 Broke Girls gives exactly that.
I'm excited to hop on board, see the show grow and hear all the sharp disses Max will be selling.
